Wine Estate Mantilari is a 780sqm villa complex with two separate buildings and seven autonomous en-suite compounds. It is build in a 4 hectares field on a hill with a forest, surrounded with olive groves, wine fields, apple and other trees. There are fully equipped kitchens in most rooms. The shared facilities, include two swimming pools, BBQ facilities, a gym, a wine cellar and a playground.

Location

Surrounded by the pristine nature of  central Crete, ideally located in between Knossos and Kastelli, our Estate can serve as a base to start your exploration of the island. Villa Mantilari is only 20km from the Nikos Kazantzakis international airport.

The area has historically served as a retreat for Agarathos monastery as well as a vineyard. The picturesque views bring to mind images from Tuscany and Val d'Orcia.

Currently Villa Mantilari is available to be booked as a single accomodation or as two separate villas with each having a private pool and a private entrance, for small groups of up to 15-24 people, or as a wedding venue for more people.

Our new facilities.

As we are upgrading our facilities, starting from April 2020 there are two pools, a gym, children's playground with wooden toys, accessibility features for people that live with disabilities as well as personnel that will take care of guests. There will also be more luxurious outdoor furniture made of  rattan and teak wood.

Our goal is to allow our guests to gather together and relax or enjoy their meals as one company. But also have the opportunity to enjoy a healthy lifestyle and come to know the wealthy traditions of the Area.

The guests will also have the opportunity to taste the local fruits, herbs and vegetables as well as the wine of Mantilari Estate, participate in workshops and classes to relax and experience the Cretan hospitality and way of living.
